The physiotherapists at The Therapy Centre are all Chartered and members of the Health Professions Council. This gives patients the assurance that they will receive high quality treatment from professionally qualified and regulated physiotherapists.
Philip Duffell MSc MCSP
Philip qualified in 1985. He has worked with sports injuries at all levels helping local and international athletes including Bedford Rugby and most recently the England Rugby Union U16, U19 and U21 teams. Spinal pain, the knee, arthritic problems and sports injuries are his field of special interest.
Julie Freeland MSc MCSP
Julie joined the practice in 2005 having been qualified for many years. Extensive post graduate training in manipulative therapy has given Julie great expertise in treating joint disorders. She is highly skilled at managing spinal and shoulder problems.
Michelle Root MSc MCSP
Michelle qualified in 2003 and has specialised in outpatient physiotherapy since 2006. She joined the practice in April 2014 and her postgraduate training brings expertise in manual therapy, acupuncture and clinical pilates.
Robert Johnson BSc MCSP
Rob joined the practice in July 2017. He qualified in 1997 and has worked with sports injuries at international and local levels, with 15 years of experience gained at the English Institute of Sport. Robs areas of expertise include sports injuries, spinal pain, rehabiltiation and acupuncture.
Malgorzata (Gosia) Scholtz BA MCSP
Gosia qualified in 2010 and has worked in the private sector and MSK occupational health for many years. Gosia's areas of interest and specialism include chronic pain cases, musculoskeletal and sports injuries. She joined the practice in June 2024.
