Physiotherapy is a science-based profession that helps restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. It involves the treatment of soft tissue and joint problems using a combination of ‘hands-on’ manual therapy techniques, targeted movement, rehabilitation exercise, education and advice. Electrotherapy is sometimes used to reduce pain and promote tissue healing. Some physiotherapists use manipulation and can practice acupuncture for pain relief.
Physiotherapists take a whole person approach to treat people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent diseases.
All our Physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). As such, they are bound by the professional rules of conduct and with rigorous standard set by the governing body
Effective treatment depends heavily on accurate diagnosis. Our physiotherapists are highly experienced and have developed expert diagnostic skills. They draw on experience gathered from working in elite sports and from post-graduate training to identify what is wrong and work in ways which complement your body’s natural healing processes to overcome injury and pain.
Where it is not possible to obtain a clear clinical diagnosis or in the case that you do not respond, we have a wide network of consultants that we regularly refer to.
If we cannot help, then will help to guide you to see someone that can.
